Nothing. The price you pay is the same whether you use a link here or go to the seller directly. In some cases a partner offers a discount through a link, in which case the price is lower, never higher.
Programmes I take part in
I take part in affiliate programmes run by travel booking platforms. At the moment that means Klook and Trip.com. If I join another programme it will be named here on the day the first link goes up, not before. Where a page contains affiliate links, a note appears at the top of that page.
How it affects what I recommend
It does not. I compare the options a visitor would realistically choose between and say what each one is best for. When the better answer is a cheaper option, a free option, or no purchase at all, I say that. I also say when the platform I used myself was not the cheapest.
